Brew with minimised bypass
This is not a “zero bypass” solution, rather a way to minimise bypass and ensure more consistency. We prefer this approach as you can still brew quickly but reach higher extractions without much effort and time.

The “Negotiator” is an open-source project kindly supported by Lautaro Lucero. You can download the 3D printing files for free and print your own on Thingiverse. The idea behind this project is very much to give the community something to experiment with and explore new ways of brewing with the OREA brewing system.

Do you have to use the Negotiator in the OREA Brewer?

Did you ever try using a cloth to extract the rich concentrate from your coffee? It is well worth having a go. The cloth drip brewing method is one of the oldest ways to brew coffee and to this day some baristas still prefer to prepare coffee this way. Using a cloth does couple things to your coffee. First, it changes the colour of your coffee, secondly it gives the coffee much deeper taste. This is due the fact that the cloth has tiny holes in it and the water does not just run through the Hario olive drip pot but brews for couple seconds longer.

It extremely easy to use and clean the dripper pot, however you have to make sure that the cloth is always washed after every use and stored in a plastic bag preferably in a fridge. This way you will avoid repurchasing the cloth for longer.
