Chemex filters remove even the finest sediment particles as well as the undesirable oils and fats. The formulation of the filter permits the proper infusion time by regulating the filtration rate – not to slow, not too fast. Good infusion of the coffee grounds (as in brewing and steeping tea) gives coffee a richer flavor while at the same time making possible precise fractional extraction: filtering out the undesirable components which make coffee bitter by allowing only the desirable flavor elements of the coffee bean to pass through. The Chemex filter is guaranteed not to burst under the weight of the liquid during filtration, and not to break when lifting out the grounds. Fully-bodied, richer flavor, from less coffee, and as strong as you like without bitterness.

Step 1:
* Fold the CHEMEX filter in half.
* Then fold in half again, bringing the two corners together.
* Place your finger between the 3rd and 4th layer and open into a funnel.

Step 2:
* Place the funnel in the top portion of the CHEMEX coffeemaker, with 3 layers on the groove side.
* The groove is an air vent (and also the pouring spout) and allows air to escape from the lower portion of the coffeemaker, letting the coffee filter

Step 3:
* Put coffee in the filter paper cone. Use one heaping tablespoon per cup of coffee (adjust to personal taste if needed after first brew).
* Refer to brewing instructions for remaining steps.

Hario V60 Filter Paper-Size 02

V60 filter papers size 02 plays an essential role in the brewing of a cup of coffee. This paper, either natural or oxygen bleached (and therefore chemical-free), is compatible with the HARIO V60 02 size dripper (1-4 cups).

The paper allows you to extract all the goodness and aroma from your freshly ground coffee beans. These filter papers are also biodegradable, meaning that they are good for the environment.

Before brewing your coffee, make sure to rinse with boiling water to get rid of any unwanted flavours contained in the paper.

Special coffee starts with the first drip.

The water drips for 5 hours, extracting 2000ml of coffee into two flasks. The dripping rate during extraction can be adjusted using the faucet located on both sides.

GINA from the Goat Story is not just another coffee dripper. It’s modern and complex construction made for brewing coffee in different ways, with a built-in scale and Bluetooth connection – like several devices in one. Its creators wanted to build a device for consistent and eye-catching coffee brewing.

Form
Gina consists of three main parts – conical dripper with a valve, base with a built-in scale with a Bluetooth module, and glass server. The set also includes an additional vessel for preparing cold-drip coffee.
The device is modern and well-designed – the dripper is made of porcelain, there is a borosilicate glass carafe, and other elements are made o stainless steel. All of the parts are fitted perfectly, and the construction is solid.

Brewing Methods
The device allows you to brew coffee with three methods. First of all, there is a classic pour-over method, where water is pouring through the coffee grounds in a paper filter, directly to the server.
The second option is an immersion method. Here you can close the valve, put coffee grounds into dripper, pour water and wait a few minutes. Next, you have to open the valve and wait for the water to flow into the carafe.
Lastly, there is the cold-drip coffee. Put ice cubes into the dripper and let it melt for a few hours, slowly, directly on the coffee that is in an additional element mounted in the carafe. Such a coffee is perfect for hot summer days.

Additional Information
No matter which brewing method you are using, you can prepare up to 750ml of coffee at a time.
The built-in scale with Bluetooth and a smartphone application help to master all variables, without the need to manually count the ratio or time.
The app, step by step, leads the user through the whole brewing process. Of course, you can modify all recipes by yourself.
The battery is charged via USB cable. A fully charged battery is capable of up to 20 hours of work.
Gina is also compatible with Hario V60-02 and Chemex (6-cup or bigger) paper filters. The cold brew filters can be replaced with AeroPress  filters. Apart from coffee, Gina is perfect for brewing tea as well!

A cleaner beverage is obtained thanks to the reduction to the fine particles in the cup, in this way the acidity is emphasised and the bitterness reduced.
